Beginning Knitting 101

Picture
In this class you will learn to cast on, knit and purl, and bind off.

Introduction to tools and techniques.

By the end of the class you will have the start of a lovely scarf for yourself or as a gift for someone else. Past scarves have been made of silks, or organic bamboo, or corn and cotton blends...part of the fun is picking your skein choice.

For this class you will need to bring your supplies: 1 to 2 skeins of yarn (any blend is your choice) and knitting needles.

There are a lot of choices for yarns and needles, just pick what feels right to you and that excites you. Needle choice...try not to go too small or too large around 8 or 10 is a good beginner size. My favorite are the size 10 needles that are made for beginners, but children they are plastic with cats on the top and each needle is a different color so that it is easy to guide through the steps. You may bring any kind that feels good to you!

This class is offered at $20.00
