    Biography of Danell Lynn  

         

Danell Lynn was born on August 28, as the youngest of three children.  She was introduced early to art and culture. Being born into a traveling family she was able to see the world and experience many societies other than her own.  Constantly surrounded by new countries, new culture and new art she absorbed much.  It is easy to see where her passion came from and the need to create. Many of her works reflect the distinction of worldly and indigenous cultures.

            As a child she realized she viewed the world a little differently than others did.  As she grew and learned how to express her “mind’s eye” her art was given birth.  When she was young she would work with whatever was there, and then was introduced to oils in high school…and a life long affair began.  “I fell in love!”  Blended with her collage and attraction to words and phases, a now detailed specific art form is created with passion. 
            Starting secondary school in England and living in a home where travel was / is important, Danell quickly found herself in Paris, London, Spain, Africa, Turkey, and many countries to fill her ever yearning well of cultural pursuits.  Her travels have yet to cease, as an adult she has combined her loves of travel, art and humanitarianism.  She runs Danell Lynn Fine Arts and is the president and courtier of Dl-couture her high end clothing line.  She has also founded two humanitarian companies to help others and carry art to many around the world: Threading Hope of dl-couture and Hirewire of Danell Lynn Fine Arts.  (www.dl-couture.com, www.dlfineartist.com
            She’s had work go to the Louvre in Paris, France, exhibitions on Capital Hill in Washington, DC, and at the United Nations in New York City.             Danell attended Miami International University of Art and Design in Miami, FL and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.  In 2001 she represented MIAD at the Air France International Young Designers Competition, 1 of 5 in the United States awarded with jewelry presentation at The Louvre Museum.  She graduated at the top of her class with honors, Delta Epsilon Iota, and was awarded “Best Avant-Garde Designer of the Year.”  She was an assistant designer, under Tammy Apostle for Gerry Kelly Couture and found art inspiration through the fabrics that touch our skin.  She then began her own fine art business and couture company: dl-couture serves only 13 clients a year making each individualized creation that much more of a limited edition.  She travels to foreign countries for hand picked fabric selection; unique fabrics, one of a kind creations plus her artistic approach to detail equal unforgettable entrances and evenings!
